"Bellevue Methodist Episcopal Church." black & white postcard with blue caption & undivided back, mailed there 1907 (stamp removed), noticeable corner & edge wear. At first glance it appears as if the background sky consists of clouds or is a map; however, the map-like printing occurs over the church as well--so this is a printing error. We doubt that many were sold; and we doubt even more that many of those were actually used. An oddity for the advanced Bellevue collector. $15.00 oea

HUNTING SURVEYS (United Kingdom). Continental black & white photo of its Douglas DC-3 (G-AVPW) parked, good focus & composition but contrast is low & image is dark. Rare. On September 3 1970 this aircraft, operating out of Nova Lisboa (now Huambo) Angola, received gunfire and had to land at Luanda with substantial damage. $7.50 a(p)au
"Loanda. Campo de foot-baal." showing a soccer game in progress, including the spectators in bleachers; post card mailed 2 ABR. 1928 TCV from Moxico to Ecuador, minor corner & edge wear. Probably from a postcard exchange. Addressee is Monsieur Justo Campana Zuniga / Boite postale 999 / Santiago de Guayaquil / Ecuador / Sud - America [tilde over n's omitted by sender]. Violet handstamp in message area reads: A. F. Serrano / Nova-Ghaves C. Sul Lunda / Angola L. E No 6917. Remarkable--the only example we have seen in color (even the sepia-tone version is scarce), and the only example we have seen postally used in any kind of coloration. SL EXPRESS / SL AVIATION SERVICES. Unused continental postcard showing its Douglas Turbo DC-3C (N96BF) on the ground, from a limited edition of 500 published in the Czech Republic, tiny bend at one corner. This aircraft crashed with 2 fatalities at Lobito Angola on 15 December 1994, and was written off. $7.00 a(p)a
ZAMBIAN AIR CARGOES (Zambia). Continental black & white photograph of its Lockheed L100 L-382B-1C (9J-RBW) parked, good composition & focus, contrast is low. Rare. Note on classification: L-100 is the civilian version of what Lockheed called the L-382; C-130 is the military designation of the same aircraft. We are informed that all 5 Zambian Air Cargoes aircraft were civilian. Necessarily taken in the April 1966 - 1969 timeframe. Later this aircraft served Pacific Western Airlines, when incurring damage at Eureka Northwest Territory. Crash landed with 5 fatalities at Jamba Angola in November 27 1989 while flying weapons & UNITA guerrilla fighters (reportedly for the CIA) as Tepper Aviation N9205T. Sold but front side still available for scholarly study & research as an enlarged (about 771% of original print area) & enhanced 200-dpi scan in .jpg format. $2.00 a(p)zad
