"Atlantic City / Girl" signed Hamilton King art depicting a bathing beauty in a blue & black swimsuit seated on a rock, unused postcard with 1907 copyright, front colors are fresh. The few original printings we found offered on the Internet were produced from plates that were scratched -- deliberately but lightly skipping from one edge of a color to another such edge -- some just like ours! Perhaps the artist himself introduced such imperfections so that his original paintings and limited editions would command a higher price? Ours has faint evidence of that phenomenon in the black of the hat and the blue of the skirt. The card itself is not scratched. Most dealers do not mention the phenomenon, most dealers do not understand it, and a few dealers when offering King's art try to cover up the tell-tale marks on their cards and/or on their scans! We prefer to be straight with you. Sold but front side still available for scholarly study & research as an enlarged (about 771% of original print area) & enhanced 200-dpi scan in .jpg format. $2.00 bn(a)a*
