"Egerländer Damen-Orchester  Direktion: H. Roth" showing a north-western Bohemian (Chebsko) group, Postkarte mailed at Mannheim 1909, minor corner & edge wear, a few small light spots of toning on both sides. $12.00 bmg(r)

   
   
"Free Concert to the Citizens of Denver, January 24th, 1912, by Madame Schumann-Heinck, inspired by her attendance at the Free Municipal Concert on the Sunday preceding" unused black & white postcard, also with the exterior illustrated on the back & various facts filling the message side of the other back. Tiny corner crease not into the image, other corners soft, back lightly toned, fold wear. The operatic contralto was a German Bohemian who received full military honors for her support of US troops when she died in 1936. No one else can offer you this! $30.00 c(d)mib

N. / Die schönsten Mädchen im ganzen Land, die giebt's in Gablonz, wie bekannt" with town view in a border of smiling women, black & white post card with dark red caption, mailed 1905 and forwarded from Kukan, stamp removed to reveal message below (interesting method to get privacy), corner wear & rounding, light amount of cancel ink on front. "Gross Meseritsch" showing a panorama of the town now known as Velké Meziříčí (name in the cancel of the Austrian stamp, then appropriate), sepia-tone Postkarte with rough edges as issued, mailed there 22.VII.18, bottom corner has 2 creases that  miss the image, minor wear to the other bottom corner, faint upper corner crease also misses the image. Two synagogues are located near the church shown, but we cannot tell for sure if their rooftops are discernable in the image. "Pozdrav ze Střížovo / Nakl. J. St. Č. Budj. 2626" with the front well annotated in Czech to explain the view of that small village now in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, mailed 1904, corners noticeably rounded, spots of excess cancel ink tone front sky. The town name is often seen Střížov these days.
