cards I was coming to help you that half a day. But got a job so I could not
come. I and Nick Larie are cut-ting wood at Schmidts." The weathered date on
the bridge is either 1875 or 1878 -- in either case, very early for the
company that built it. The bridge was over Eight Mile Creek, which passes
through the town. Nick Larie's telephone number & that of the H. P. Schmidt
Milling company both appear in the 1920 Oshkosh (about 10 miles away) City
