COR. 5th & LUDLOW ST., DAYTON, OHIO" Azo (triangles up) real photo postcard showing 2 adults in Halloween clown costumes, back handwriting dates & identifies as '1911 // Wendl Pauser / Albert Fisher', oxidation consistent with that age, very light even toning over most of the back. Albert was born in 1890, which places him as 21 years of age. Wendl is a German variant of the name Wendel. Shown left. $40.00 ho(d)g(h). embossed Halloween Series 980 postcard mailed 1909 in East Liberty Ohio (to
Earl Green there), tiny corner crease not into the image, otherwise
surprisingly fresh. We have seen blog posts about this card, offers to sell
its reproduction as a greeting card or postage stamp, and much more on the
web. But why not own the real thing?
"Tis Hallowe'en And All Girls Know / The way To Fly Is With Your Beau" unsigned Dwig art on an intricately embossed with gilt accents, mailed at Miamisburg Ohio OCT 3 1910 to Edna Hangen in Greenville Ohio, tiny upper corner crease, otherwise quite fresh. From the Halloween Series Number 981, copyrighted by the publisher J. Marks (New York). Rare: in our search of the Internet we found but one example which was offered & sold, but by a dealer who did not recognize the artist! "Wishing you / a highly / entertaining Hallowe'en" with signed Ellen H. Clapsaddle art depicting 2 jolly pumpkins being conveyed across starry skies by an airship, embossed postcard made in Germany, printed poem on the back advertising the Theo.
