Laxey Wheel" with a man at its top for scale, unused postcard, faint
album toning near the corners, long scrape near the right front border,
otherwise fresh. From 1854 this wheel pumped water from the Great Laxey
Mining Company. Sold but still available for scholarly
study & research as an enlarged (about 771% of original print area) & enhanced
200-dpi scan in .jpg or .tif format. $2.00 im
"1019 I. O. M. Castletown. Rushen Castle" unused color postcard, faint album impressions at the corners, several tiny speckles of toning in the upper front border & nearby sky. $5.00 i
1977 one-crown Isle of Man coin commemorating Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee, circulated just a bit, but a nice specimen. Silver dollar size. $2.00 in
"20166 I. O. M. Douglas. Loch Promenade" including a streetcar passing near the Villiers Hotel with Buffet signs, many pedestrians & a few small sailing ships; picture post card with good edges, faint album marks near the corners, short thin mark mostly in the upper front border, but otherwise quite fresh for its age (c. 1910). $7.50 is

I.O.M" with misplaced periods as indicated, black & white multiview postcard with 5 scenes including Loch Promenade & Toast Rack (with Jacob's Marie Biscuits advertising), mailed there 1949 to Ohio (clear cancel), corner crease, light toning at upper right front corner, cancel ink on front. $3.75 im-I*
"DOUGLAS PORT SKILLION I. M." with many well-dressed sightseers on the path from the top of Port Skillion to the Douglas Head Lighthouse (after its rebuilding in 1892 but before its 'Moaning Minnie' foghorn); post card with undivided back mailed from Liverpool DE 17 1901 with a 1-pence Queen Victoria stamp to Cleveland Ohio, corners worn & rounded, 3 corner creases (2 tiny, one long) the other corner with a tiny bit chipped off, some cancel ink in the sky & a lot more in the front caption area, light but uneven fingerprint & album toning on back. We know there are many views of this lighthouse, but this one is special in that it shows its people-drawing power; it also happens to be very hard to find in any condition. $8.00 il
