ARLINGTON (CARLISLE COUNTY). "This is some of the wreck yesterday Feb 16 '10 at Arlington Ky." uncaptioned sepia-tone Azo (triangles up) real photo postcard, so we use the writing on the back. Shows an undamaged I. C. R. R. engine (Illinois Central Rail Road) at the site, quite possibly arriving to help; it ran from Bardwell to Clinton through Arlington. Withers & Van Devender (Parkersburg West Virginia) for logs towed from Guyan to Pomeroy Ohio & Twelve Pole West Virginia to Pomeroy & another trip from Point Pleasant. Illustrated billhead shows the steamer Catherine Davis underway. We could not find paper memorabilia of any kind offered for this towing company or for the ship when we searched the Internet. Edges a bit rough, & a little dark toning from contact with acidic papers, folded twice to fit in an envelope. Belongs in a museum. $35.00 s(r)o(c)lw

Kraemer Art post card numbered 1795 on back, printed in Germany, mailed at Ashland MAR 22 1909 to Mr. Loni Schmauch in Atlanta Georgia (from Nellie and Lillie who mention their Aunt Louise), minor corner & edge wear, rare. There are 2 wagons in line, going from left-to-right on an upward-sloping path as we see them, stopped with men dismounted to give their horses a rest. Rare: the only place we could find it was in the outstanding collection of the Kentucky Historical Society. This is the $4.00 toll bridge ..." sepia-tone real photo postcard mailed JUL 26 1909 at Bonara Kentucky, showing the distinctive bridge with an angle to it located at Munfordville Kentucky, including toll collectors & gate; 2 lines of writing in the front sky have been whited out (possibly to comply with the fairly new postal regulations preferring writing on back).
