"AERADIO, DEPT. OF TRANSPORT / VO2NA" Goose Airport shortwave QSL card used 1957 by operator Jack Willis, B.E.M., C.D.; small map of Labrador in the upper left corner in red. Until the 1950's Canadian aeradio stations monitored 2 frequencies used by all civilian aircraft, including the Civil Air Patrol (an important part of the American Coastal Defense in World War II that enlisted many amateur radio operators). Seldom seen, seldom understood. $7.50 l. Same but mailed there to Philadelphia APR 8 1958 (clear & complete cancel), minor corner wear; about as late an aeradio item as you will probably ever see. Pre-1921 name of the Presbyterian school that was an important source of teachers for the government, as well as missionaries to Thailand & Laos. $10.00 tlg
LAO AVIATION. Unused regular-size postcard showing its Antonov AN-24RV (RDPL-3.4010) at Bangkok Thailand in January 1984, printed in Switzerland, card number corrected on back, excellent condition. $7.00 al
ROYAL AIR LAO. Unused regular-size post card showing its Douglas DC-4 at Vientian during March 1975, published in West Germany, near mint. This airplane was damaged severely in a storm on 24 March 1976 at Vientiane, and written off their books. However, it went on to serve in Chad for Air Afrique. $7.50 al
