LEBANESE INTERNATIONAL AIRWAYS. Continental black-and-white photo of its Douglas DC-7F (OD-AEI) ready to board, good composition and focus. On December 28 1968, in retaliation for an Arab terrorist attack on an aircraft in Athens, Israeli commandos destroyed this airplane (and others) at the Beirut International Airport. Rare. $10.00 ail

MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES / MEA. Continental color photo of its Avro York (OD-ADB) on the ground, good composition, contrast a bit low. Rare. On September 29 1958, while on a cargo flight from Beirut to London via Rome, it disappeared into the Mediterranean with loss of all 5 souls aboard. Photo sold.
