ANGELS & ARTIST. KATE GAWF. "I WON'T NAME NAMES, / BUT AT LEAST FOUR PEOPLE / FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOOD / ARE BURNING IN HELL / THIS VERY MINUTE! // NO! // The afterlife of gossips." signed Kate Gawf cartoon art depicting angels, unused, 1987 copyright, fairly fresh.



ANIMALS & OREGON. "'Seal with Hangover' Seaside, Ore. // Christian / 466" unused sepia-tone real photo post card, a little toning near the back edges probably from the production process.

ARTIST & TUCK-PUBLISHED.
"I hardly know how / to commence" says a shoe-shine boy to a hobo requesting service, post card from Tuck Write Away Series 643 on brownish paper, signed Lance Thackeray art, unevenly divided back, mailed 1905 at Springfield Massachusetts, light album marks at the corners, couple spots of light toning & a few small scrapes that mostly miss the art on front. Check your image: there is a knock-off unsigned version of this one; but ours is the original!

"185 / 'PAINLESS EXTRACTION.'" showing a dentist about to pull a tooth, his foot on the chest of a hapless patient tied into the chair; sepia-tone post card printed in England, published by Bamforth & Company, mailed 1909 at Newark Ohio, spotty toning on back, bottom corner gone just into the image. Sign on wall reads ' Teeth Pulled While You Wait'. Ready to frame & hang in a dental office.

"If they won't come peacefully, then I go after 'em / that's me" boy fisherman abandons his pole & line, dives off pier for fish; comic linen post card with 29-c US scuba diver stamp strategically placed & cancelled neatly on its first day of issue in Honolulu Hawaii. Unique!

"The First / Wash Day" showing 2 fig leaves on a line hung up to dry, unused hand-colored / tinted leather post card with undivided back. Veiled reference to Adam & Eve.

PENNSYLVANIA. "Dear [Mrs. Stout]  Philadelphia 190[6] / Talk about a nice quiet town. This is it. When I got off / the train I heard a noise and asked if it was the hum of / business. 'No' replied the policeman. 'That is the snore of / the town.' ..." comic post card making jokes about Philadelphia's lack of liveliness & its principal products (catfish, waffles & scrapple). Hand-colored with addressee & year date penned in, 1906 copyright, 2 small corner creases, light toning & postal transit marking on front.
