/ FIJI / MOBILE MARINE" QSL card used 1947 by operator Thor Gundersen in the
Marine Department of C. S. R. Co. Ltd. (Piermont Australia) on the s/s
about to take leave in New Zealand; 4 tape remnants on back (1 causing thin
from removal attempt), pinhole & adjacent scrape near front center. At the
time his QSO was 'S.W. of Fiji'. During World War II this ship served under
requisition as a supply ship -- visiting Noumea New Caledonia in 1941, for
example. Definitely rare; the Australian National University has but a few
items from the ship in its collection, and that is all we could find.

"VO2PB Labrador City, Newfoundland" unmailed QSL postcard, with pertinent information filled in. Contact 1972. Attractive design shows map of Canada. $1.50
"VO2RF" Fort McAndrew (Hq 66th AACS, APO863) QSL card mailed free DEC 16 1947 to Sayville New York (clear DEC 19 Westhampton Beach transit marking, almost complete transit marking at West Sayville forwarded to Sayville) by operator Master Sergeant Ray J. Forrester, 2 corners with small creases. In 1946 the fort was included into the US Army Air Forces, & in 1948 it was renamed McAndrew Air Force Base, so there is a relatively brief period of time for this usage. $3.75 n-n
