Astonishing detail: radio station call signs, owners, locations, wave lengths in meters, ratings in watts & Day-Fan settings. Includes US, US possessions & territories, Cuba, Mexico & a few of the stations in Europe & South America. Short log at the back of an actual customer.   • "Monument / Avenue // Dayton, / Ohio 6203" in vertical format, unused mailing card, 2 long creases near the bottom, 2 tiny corner creases, minor corner wear.
  • "Miami River, looking South  Dayton, Ohio 6204" including some shoals, unused mailing card, very light toning on back.
  • "The Shoals, Miami River  Dayton, Ohio 6205" very light toning on back, trivial wear to one bottom corner.

DAYTON (MONTGOMERY COUNTY). "Compliments of / BLUE BIRD BAKING CO. / 521 Kiser Street / DAYTON, OHIO // Horstmann Studio" booklet of 10 high quality postcard-sized photographs riveted together, 'O. L. MELVIN & SON / NEW HOLLAND, OHIO'. Most of the photos are captioned: the office force, testing laboratory, exterior view, a partial force of the employees, cooking room, some of the fresh frozen fruit used in Blue Bird pies, another interior view & operators, two of the largest ovens, the sales force, a partial view of the fleet of trucks. Uncaptioned view at the front is undoubtedly a portrait of the owner. The company was sold in 1990, when 57 years of age. $100.00 o(d)f

DAYTON (MONTGOMERY COUNTY). DAYTON AND UNION RAILWAY CO. "Form 562. 5-98. 2m. (M. 35856) / The Dayton & Union Railway Company." form on government postal card filled out December 12 1898 & mailed to the Dayton Iron Works in Dayton Ohio, advising recipient they were holding freight with charges due, asking for prompt removal & stating at whose risk the property would be held. Very little memorabilia of any kind survives for this short line railroad which ran to Union City Indiana near the Ohio border. Annotated on the back in pencil by a local historian who we know to be reliable: "Dayton, Ohio - N. W. Corner of Ludlow and Stout St. / Ticket Office  32 Ludlow at Arcade Entrance". Most likely one-of-a-kind: no publisher or photographer credit, & no caption as a commercial product would have. Belongs in a museum. $100.00 o(d)r(d)h

Note the scarf dangling improbably from the coat on the left, as the youth mimics a bookie pose at a race track. Different sleeve lengths & pigeon toes tell us the guy on the right is not to be taken seriously either. Size is approximately 4-1/4" x 6-1/2". "Enon  #6 3/25/13" and "Enon  #7 3/25/13" showing railroad track inspection for damage after the flood; unused sepia-tone Azo (triangles up) real photo postcard (left) & unused sepia tone Cyko real photo postcard (right), both with toned backs, #6 with an upper corner crease, taken to document the condition of railroad tracks in the vicinity after the Great Flood. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This series of historic photos with unusually precise dating in the caption once collectively constituted a railway employee's report. We have seen similar shots for Clark County communities such as Medway & Snyderville. Most likely a set was produced for railroad management & another set for the insurance company; captioning so they could discuss the images & their claims over the phone.
